The Evil Empire is getting "Dirty"

H'ville, Tn (AP) - Huge news in both Hendersonville and Seattle today when it was announced that the two teams had finalized a blockbuster deal. The Hitmen have swapped 25-year-old minor league left fielder Pepe Jiménez and 27-year-old second baseman Pedro Valdéz to the Kings for 27-year-old catcher Jesús Hernández and 23-year-old minor league closer António López.

No one is quiet about this trade. Everyone has an opinion... some think it is good and some think otherwise. Hendersonville's GM Travis Hays told BNN reporters, "I know this might not be a popular decision to a few fans in town, but I think as time goes by, they will soften their stance. This is a good trade for the Hendersonville Hitmen."

And that is exactly what happen as "Dirty" Hernandez hit a HR in each of his first 4 games and capped it off with a 2 HR day in the 4th game giving him 5 HRs and 10 RBIs in his first sim with the team.  Hernandez is tied with John Crowe for the early season BSA HR lead.

"Dirty" Hernandez
Age: 27
Avg: .271
HR: 25
RBI: 86
OPS: .849
VORP: 18.7
Salary: $4.0M through 2016

In what may be the quickest trade ever workout by Hays, the Hitmen made a last minute trade on the day before the season started that took 4 emails and just 3 hrs.  Prior to the former owner of the Seattle Kings quitting Hays was in talks for acquiring "Dirty" Hernandez.

Pedro Valdez
Leaving H'ville is 2012 All-Star 2B Pedro Valdéz. Valdez spent a season and a half in Hendersonville and just started to look to be hitting his prime.  He just turned 28 and is coming off a 27 HR, 92 RBI, 21 SBs 2012 season. Valdez also brings with him a Gold Glove ability at 2B and a unprecedented work ethic.

Also leaving in the trade is 25-year old LF Pepe Jiménez, who looks to be a good contact hitter with great base running abilities.

The official trade looks like this:

Gets:

2B Pedro Valdéz
LF Pepe Jiménez

Gets:

C Jesús "Dirty" Hernández
CL António "Sinner" López
