Game 1 Recap: Hill vs Hinton might not raise a lot of eyebrows around the league but inside the Ford Division it does.  After Hinton was traded by Jacksonville last season to Orlando he went 12-2 with a 2.58 ERA and 1.13 WHIP.  Scott "The Franchise" Hill got off to a great start in 2012 going 7.1 innings, 4 H, 2 ER, 8 K's and no walks but got the ND as the offense only managed 2 runs vs Hinton.  The game went into extra innings where Orlando won in the the bottom of the 11th after Alfredo "Last Resort" Gonzalez got the first two batters out he walked the next two and gave up a walk-off single to Bill Welshman.

Game 2 Recap: Hitmen Manager Cesar Martinez forgot that the actual regular season had started and used his ST lineup in game 2 throwing off the pitching rotation in a bad way. Despite that the Hitmen's #5 SP Mal "Shelled" Windham did a decent job going 5.0 innings, striking out 5 and allowing 4 ER.
Errors turned out to be the difference in this game as the Hitmen scored 2 runs of Orl CL Ross Higgins in the 9th to tie the game, but ultimately it came down to an E by P. Valdéz (1) playing out of position at SS that allowed Mel Fields to score the winning run in the bottom of the 13th.
