H'ville All-Star's

H'ville, Tn (AP) - Today the BSA 2014 All-Star selections were released and the Hitmen lead all of the BSA with 8 guys on the team, 3 starters, 5 reserves and 3 first time selections.  The big news is that for the 5th straight year the in All-Star game a Hitman SP will started for the National League.

2010 - Scott Hill
2011 - Art Ellis
2012 - Walter Bamber
2013 - Scott Hill
2014 - Walter Bamber

Walter Bamber narrowly beat out JTF and Jose Lara of Boston to get the start.  It's Bamber's 2nd All-Star game start as he started back in 2012 en route to his BSA record 25-win season.

1B José Álvarez also narrowly won a starting job as he beat out Baffin Island's Charlie Murdock.  Alvarez in his first full season as a starter has flurished as he is one of  BSA's best BB/OBP guys and has great power to go along with that.

The 3rd and final starter for the Hitmen is DH Manny "The Cobra" Copriviza.  The Cobra is having an MVP type year pretty much just crushing everything.  He leads the BSA in RBI's and is in top 5 in NL in 2Bs, HRs, Slg, OPS and WAR.

The full list of Hitmen All-Star's are below:

1B José Álvarez (1st selection, 2014)

As far as the actual All-Star game went, THE league won it's 5th straight All-Star game lead by "The Cobra" who was named the 2014 All-Star Game MVP going 1-2 with a big 2-run HR and a BB.

Immediately after the game the Hitmen shocked a lot of fans and owners alike by trading All-Stars 1B Jose Alvarez and LF Sammy Sagar along with SP Jerry Burgess and super spec 2B Jim Edgar to El Paso.
