The reason for the outrage and the tantrum was Hendersonville had two more major injuries in the past sim including another All-Star and a 2nd season ending injury to a superstar and MVP candidate!
"This is f'in bullshit!" yelled Hays at reporters. "I bust my ass making trades, in the draft and managing our minors to bring in the best guys to win us another World Series and every f'in week we lose a starter to injuries!!! I don't know what to do. I guess I can call up everyone on the 40-man roster and do what we do in spring training and just let all players play 4 innings cause these candy asses evidently aren't built for a 162-game season, which is flippin ironic cause that is how many f'in games we play in this sport!!! Where the hell is my trainer!? I need to punch someone in the face and it might as well be his pansy ass!"
CF Luke Pittman will miss rest of the season and playoffs after rupturing his MCL legging out a bases loaded, bases clearing 3-RBI double. Pittman was having a MVPish type season hitting .304/.417/.527/.944 Slash Line with 23 HR, 88 RBI, 26 2B, 91 Runs, 41 SB, and an amazing 9.1 WAR which is 2nd best in the BSA.
Pittman is widely considered a top 5 player in the game (#5 ranked by OSA) and he was proving that this season. He will be impossible to replace in the lineup and in the field where he lead the entire BSA in Zone Rating of +26.8.
Trading Sagar and losing Robertson for the year hurts the OF depth, but most likely Jorge Cruz who was acquired at deadline for this exact situation will slide over from LF to play CF, Domingo "The Don" Martínez will flip from RF to LF and Luis Padilla who has been playing DH will move back to RF.
All-Star 3B Masanobu Hasegawa was injured while making a tag at 3B on New Orleans' 1B Tony Marin. Marin tried to take third on a single into RF, but "The Don" came up throwing and nailed Marin at third to end the inning. Hasegawa made the tag but Marin slide feet first through he bag and collided with Hasegawe sending him flying backwards and slamming his head against the ground. Team Trainer Marvin Green told reporters that Hasegawa will miss rest 2-3 weeks with a mild concussion.
Hasegawa has had a down year at the plate hitting .265/.336/.444/.780 Slash Line with 15 HR, 63 RBI, 35 2B, and a 3.9 WAR but is 11th in BSA in ZR with a +13.0. He leads all NL 3B's in ZR, RF, Def Eff, Assist and TC.
"Replacing a guy like Pittman is more than just calling up a body from AAA," said veteran Hitman Scott Hill. "He's a leader in this clubhouse, not only by example of his play but by his actions. You don't replace a guy like 'Pitt'"
"It's like a freakin medical ward up in here," said Manager César Martínez. "I've seen and had more conversations with our team trainer and doctor than I have my own wife in the last 6 months."
