A "Perfect" Gem

Athens, Ga (AP) - On Monday, September 8th, 2014 H'ville's #3 prospect was PERFECT.  In a dominant outing, Ramón Estrada of Athens Assassins totally silenced the bats of the Nashua Redlegs. In the 6-0 victory he faced only 28 batters, surrendered no hits, had 2 strikeouts and no walks.  A perfect game!

"I'll be very honest with you," Ramón Estrada said. "I didn't know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning. I happened to look up there to see how many outs we had. Then I happened to notice that they didn't have any hits."

Commenting on his defeat, the losing manager told reporters in the clubhouse how he saw the game, "Well, it was pretty simple today, the Assassins had all the hits and all the runsAnd Estrada pitched a heck of a ballgame."

Thus far this season Estrada has posted a 11-8 record while compiling a 1.72 ERA with a 1.00 WHIP and striking out 148 batters to only 48 walks in 198.2 innings and in 28 starts.

Estrada is H'ville's #3 spec and at 17 he stands at 6'5 and weighs in at 235 lbs.  He has the frame to be an innings horse and with some hard work he could develop into a frontline SP in the BSA.
