#3Peat: May Review

Hville, Tn (AP) - The Hitmen have always gotten off to a strong start and this year they have done the same.  After posting a 20-7 April and barely holding on to the div lead over their new division rivals the red hot New Orleans Looters, the Hitmen responded with a big May going 25-4.

May started with a very tough 5 game stretch at home.  After the 2 games left in Looters series then followed by the Jersey D-Bags coming to town, the Hitmen enjoyed a very favorable schedule with Boston being the only remaining team over .500 in the month, minus the one game on the last day vs Baffin.

Hville went 6-3 vs those "playoff contenders" while taking 2 of 3 from Boston and Jersey, split 2 games with N.O. (but lost series 2-1) and won only game vs Baffin.

Versus the sub .500 teams Hville did what they should do and went 19-1 with Scott Hill taking the only lone tough luck loss in a 3-1 game vs Cleveland.  They managed to put together their 2nd 12-game winning streak of the year, had 5 sweeps in the month including 2 4-game sweeps of O-R-L, went 8-1 on the road and 17-3 at home.

Inside The Numbers:
- 74 runs allowed vs 201 runs scored
- 2.5 RPG allowed vs 6.9 RPG scored
- 5 Shutouts
- 17 games(out of 29)with 2 or fewer runs allowed
- 5 Sweeps in the month
- 8-1 on the road
- 17-3 at home
